Zumba! Zumba! Zumba!

Life Options has recently begun a twice weekly Zumba class. Every Monday and Wednesday at 1PM there is a buzz around as everyone prepares for what has become the favorite part of the week. Many staff and residents are dressed for the occasion to include workout attire, right down to the leg warmers. Life Options staff have enthusiastically taken the lead in getting everyone involved. Many staff and residents can be seen sweating, but smiling and giggling as they enjoy this fun activity.
Chapel Hill United Church of Christ Alternative Christmas Market
11/19/2011 - Life Options Artist Co-op participated in the United Church of Christ Alternative Christmas Market. This was a very profitable event and many festival attendees stopped by our booth to learn more about RSI and to purchase their holiday gifts from our artists. Plans are already underway to attend the 2012 Market.
Lavender Oil and Rosemary
11/1/2011 - Life Option’s greenhouse has been thriving with the growth of Lavender and Rosemary. This holiday season the Life Options greenhouse team will make available for the first time Lavender oil and dried Rosemary.
Pig Pickin'
11/6/2011 - During RSI’s annual Pig Pickin event, Life Options debuted their holiday 2011 products for sale; these included holiday greeting cards, clay jewelry, Lavender oil, dried Rosemary, and a selection of books from the Rockin and Rollin bookstore.
New Laundry Facility
8/20/2011 - Life Options now has a new on site laundry facility. This will provide us with the opportunity to expand our laundry business and work much more efficiently. Participants are eager to participate and word is that they’re even more enthusiastic at home to have laundry responsibilities. Another key element to the success of the laundry program is the use of the “flip-n-fold” to allow individuals to be able to fold more independently.
